Large-diameter water meters refer to water meters with a nominal diameter of 50mm and above (DN≥50), which are usually used for industrial and commercial purposes. Large-diameter water meters are mainly divided into the following categories:
Velocity water meters: Including rotor-type water meters and propeller-type water meters. Velocity water meters measure water volume by driving the impeller or propeller to rotate by water flow, and are suitable for large flow occasions.
Electronic water meters: Including ultrasonic water meters and electromagnetic water meters. Electronic water meters measure water flow through electronic sensors, have high precision and remote transmission functions, and are suitable for occasions requiring high-precision measurement.
Specific types and their characteristics
Horizontal propeller-type water meters: Suitable for horizontal installation, simple structure, easy maintenance, suitable for occasions with large flow.
Vertical propeller-type water meters: Suitable for vertical installation, high measurement accuracy, suitable for occasions requiring high-precision measurement.
Ultrasonic water meters: Calculate flow by measuring the propagation time of ultrasonic waves in the fluid, with a non-blocking flow design, suitable for the measurement of large flow and dirty fluids.
Electromagnetic water meter: Uses the principle of electromagnetic induction to measure flow rate, and is suitable for flow rate measurement in a strong magnetic field environment.
